Climate Change Perception
Climate change is often discussed as a global issue, but its impacts are deeply local, shaping everyday life, livelihoods, and how people think about the future. This report brings together voices from four island communities, Mahé in Seychelles, Prince Edward Island in Canada, Tobago, and Skyros in Greece, to better understand how people experience and perceive climate change where they live.
Based on fieldwork and direct engagement with islanders, the study explores how communities view climate risks, what concerns them most, and how they think responsibility for action should be shared. While the findings are not intended to be representative, they offer meaningful insights into the lived realities of climate change and highlight the important role of local knowledge, community networks, and everyday practices in building resilience.
